Ben Richey Boys Ranch and Family Program

501 Ben Richey Drive
Abilene, TX 79602

Ben Richey Boys Ranch is a private, non-profit basic child care facility. Ben Richey Boys Ranch provides clean, comfortable and safe homes for each boy at the Ranch. Through experienced guidance of house parents and staff, each boy will develop confidence while learning to take responsibility for his actions. Our goal is to provide each boy with the tools to become a productive, successful member of society once they have completed the program. Ben Richey Boys Ranch Family Program exists to restore single mothers and their children with hope, comfort, and shelter while they locate resources they need to move toward successful independent living. Relief and assistance is provided to single mothers from all walks of life so they can focus on resolving their individual crisis and temporary family instability. While the mother works toward setting goals with the guidance of dedicated and supportive staff, she lives in a comfortable residential setting with her children. Mothers and their children live in shared homes with private bedrooms and bathrooms that are assigned to their families. Mothers in the Program diligently work towards learning appropriate money management skills, parenting skills, job skills, and other areas of their lives in which their individual families need help. It is the goal of the Family Program that when the mother leaves our Program, she is able to support herself and her child(ren) without help from someone else. The Abilene campus is located on an 80-acre Ranch with three homes, one relief cottage, gym, pool, livestock pens, administrative center and more. Ben Richey Boys Ranch also has a campus located near Albany, Texas. It is situated on 80 acres and consists of a two homes, a relief home, livestock pens and an agriculture barn/shop facility.
The Ben Richey Boys Ranch and Family Program is funded solely through charitable contributions from individuals, club and corporate grants, fundraising events and the United Way. Ben Richey Boys Ranch does not take any State or Federal funding. Your charitable contribution helps provide guidance, shelter, clothing, food and basic necessities to the boys and single mothers and their children who are being served by the Ben Richey program. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will have a direct and immediate impact on the young lives of those served by the Ranch. Every gift is needed and appreciated and opportunities to give to the Ranch are diverse. Some may choose to give monthly, others annually. Some have elected to include Ben Richey Boys Ranch in their estate planning. Still others may choose to honor a loved one with a gift to the Ranch. Those who do not give financially may also provide products and services that the Ranch would otherwise have to purchase.
